Energy
Whether
drilling for oil, producing electricity or processing fuels, our
clients have a tremendous number of challenging NDT requirements.
LTC provides state-of-the-art technology and a wide variety of
standard and custom tools to meet these challenging NDT requirements
We have extensive experience in the design and
development of sensors that are capable of remote operation in tubes
and pipes. An example is our family of sensors that are used for
in nuclear steam generator inspection for denting and ovality. We
also provide systems with "stand-alone" sensors that interface with
our customer's robotic delivery systems. These sensors are often
used to inspect piping systems for corrosion and pitting, as well as
mapping the pipes for ovality and denting.
In addition, our patented LSPI™
technology was developed for nuclear
steam generator inspection for surface-breaking cracks. This
unique product allows operators to remotely treat, rinse and scan
tubes with known cracks. The system generates a high-resolution,
digital image of cracks that allow operators to quantitatively
document and asses these features.
